Just like this circular stone shrined Vatadage of Pollonaruwa, whose purpose to protect the small stupa that had an important relic, the Buddha statue enshrined in them in Srilankan culture. It was here the sacred tooth relic of Buddha was housed before it was moved to Kandy.In a way I visualised it in my own way, like the vatadage is the world surrounding me and I need to be guarding myself for being myself. Well, capturing the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa was sheer delight.
