This is Selvakumari S, the daughter of a cardamom plantation worker in Kerala and a plantation worker herself, who has managed to clear the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) examinations in her first attempt. Her father abandoned her mother years ago and with two younger sisters, it was necessary for her to support her mother financially, so she used to help her out on the plantation.
