This is magnificent Gondeshwar Mandir located in Sinnar, Nashik district of Maharashtra. The Mandir is one of the few structures of Hemadpanthi style still in good shape. It’s a Panchayatana layout Mandir (main shrine surrounded by 4 sub shrines) built in 12–13th century during Yadava dynasty of Devagiri. The structure was constructed using the locally available black basalt rock. The Mandir is truly unique in design, perfect in proportion and the stone carvings are exquisitely beautiful.
